St. Mark and Action on the Economy

Parishioners are addressing concerns about the economy. Parish-community members volunteered to research and distribute information about resources (financial assistance, food pantries, legal services, foreclosure aid, education services, etc.). Parishioners are also interested in a parish job network and encourage those who know about available jobs to notify the parish for job postings. Church members also want to incorporate concerns for the economy into the prayer life of the parish. In the City and State, parishioners are working on issues concerning use of the federal stimulus money, for job training programs and inclusion of lower income workers into new job creation in the City and State.
